Today I have two weeks to go until I leave New Zealand for a whole year, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8760 hours but yeah you get the picture. Its seems like just yesterday I was applying to go on a Rotary Youth Exchange. When I first sent in my application for the youth exchange I had no idea the selection process would be so extreme. We had an intense weekend of interviews, getting asked some of the random questions I've ever had to answer- "If you were a tree, what type of tree would you be?" But hey it was all worth it when I found out that I had been selected and was going to Denmark.
From then on it was all systems go, starting to learn the language, thinking about packing for a whole year and trying to figure out the exchange rate. Amongst all my excitement my parents decide that seeing as that I will be leaving the nest for a year and they wont be able to live without me they should moves homes, now you would think that they would just move suburbs but no my parents don't like to do things in halves. If they going to do something, they like to do it right. This means that they are moving to Australia, resulting in leaving me homeless. So I have to start packing for Denmark and also pack up my room.
Its going to be hard leaving my family and my friends ( The Nifty Niners!!) but it will be such an awesome experience to live in a different country for a whole year.
So the countdown is on in 14 days, 336 hours I will be getting onto my plane with about 60 other Rotary Exchange Students getting ready to have the time of my life all the way over in Denmark!

Im going to be living it up in Denmark for the year on a Rotary Youth Exchange. This means no hot kiwi summers, no l&p, no marmite okay maybe marmite because I got some sent over, no english but its going to be one hell of a year!
